Peter Kotschedoff, CMI – [READ FULL BIO]
Peter Kotschedoff is a principal at Versatax Consulting and has over 29 years of experience in all phases of real and personal property assessment, including appeals board representation/testimony, appraisal, possessory interests and tax exemptions. His consulting experience includes airline, biopharmaceutical, communications, energy, high-tech/R&D, hospital, hotel, manufacturing, office campus, refinery, retail, space ship, stadium, theater, theme park and other special use properties. He has also been active with the California legislature in the creation of new law relative to property tax and other industries.
Prior to founding Versatax, Peter spent 6 years with Duff & Phelps as a Managing Director in charge of the California property tax practice and 10 years with Deloitte Tax, as a Senior Manager in the complex property tax group. While at Deloitte, Peter was a team leader for the California state-wide airline industry settlement. Prior to Deloitte, Peter was an Appraiser with the Los Angeles County Office of the Assessor.
Peter frequently speaks on property tax issues to trade organizations, Assessor and Industry groups. He is the founding President, past chairman of the Board and currently chairs the Advisory Board for the California Alliance of Taxpayer Advocates, is a California Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and holds the CMI designation from IPT.
Amy Kotschedoff, CMI – [READ FULL BIO]
Amy Kotschedoff is a principal at Versatax Consulting and has over 25 years of experience in property taxation. Amy has worked in all phases of real and personal property assessment, including appeals board representation/testimony, appraisal and possessory interests. Her experience includes complex real and personal property specializing in airlines, biopharmaceutical, communications, high-tech/R&D, manufacturing, office campus, retail, stadium and other special use properties.
Prior to founding Versatax, Amy spent 6 years with Duff & Phelps as a Director in the California property tax practice and 3 years with Deloitte Tax, as a Manager in the complex property tax group and was eventually in charge of marketing property tax services for the Western Region of the US. While at Deloitte, Amy was a core team member for the California state-wide airline industry settlement. Prior to Deloitte, Amy spent seven years with the Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office, as a Real Property Appraiser Specialist in the Major Properties Section.
Amy received her B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and holds a CMI designation with the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
